Mykonos, one of the most beautiful places to visit in Greece, is an island part of the Cyclades Island group in the Aegean Sea with breathtaking beaches and a lovely town.
Mykonos is very charming and sophisticated and one of most famous hotspot for parties in Europe (the biggest in Greece). Because of that, the island is full of young people partying all day long, sun seekers and couples enjoying Mykonos’s beautiful scenery and romanticism.
The best way to explore the island is renting a scooter because the public transportation is not that good.
I visited the island in August of 2014 coming by ferryboat from Santorini. The island is really picturesque and undoubtedly one of the greatest places to enjoy the European summer.

During our year-long honeymoon, we spent 5 incredible months backpacking in South America. We swam in the Caribbean at Tayrona National Park in Colombia; we swam with playful baby seals in the Galapagos Islands; we hiked ( ok, crawled on our hands and knees ) on The Quilotoa Loop in the Andes in Ecuador; we crossed the La Balsa border into Peru in a chicken truck, we attempted ( and failed ) to hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru; we made friends with alpacas at a winery in Valparaiso, Chile; we drank our collective weight in wine in Mendoza, Argentina. Although each of the countries we visited – Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, and Argentina – was as unique and different from one another as can be, we did notice a few universal truths about backpacking in South America… things nobody told us about before we left. In no particular order and in various degrees of usefulness, we’ve compiled our observations into this list of 30 things no o...
Having just returned from a short stay in the stunning Swiss town of Lauterbrunnen, I’m a bit of a drooly, overwhelmed mess. After all, with a head full of dreams carefully planted from years of pining over Lauterbrunnen on Instagram and Pinterest, my expectations were so high I could practically vomit from excitement. The issue? Many of the photos circulating online are actually snapped from drones, which means they’re not real views you can access without spontaneously sprouting wings. So, if you’re like me and have failed at sprouting said wings, I’ve done some groundwork for you! Here are some of my favourite viewpoints and Lauterbrunnen photo spots that I discovered, along with instructions on how to reach them. Best of all? Most of them are very easy to reach, with minimal hiking required (unless you’re craving the workout, in which case I have some options for you). I apologize that these viewpoints don’t have officia...
Looking for things to do in Lagos ? Below you will find the 15 best tourist attractions, a suggested itinerary and many tips 😉 Lagos, an ancient marine town, is one of the most visited cities in the Algarve due to its renowned beaches, incredible rock formations, great variety of hotels, bars, restaurants and spirited summer nightlife. The city has also a very rich history that stretches back more than 2000 years. It was occupied by the Phoenicians, Romans, Visigoths, Byzantines and Moors, who in the 8 th century fortified and walled the city and built a medieval castle that can still be seen today. After the Christian Reconquista of the Iberian Peninsula in 1189, Lagos played an important role in Portuguese discoveries due to its strategic harbor position. Under the expansionist project of King Sebastian, Lagos became a city, and the capital of the Kingdom of the Algarve, in 1573. Nowadays there are no queens or kings in town, but instead thousands of tourists who c...
